Teacher payment agreement, 1871 January 10.

Ten subscribers agree to support a school at Antioch for white children between the ages of five and twenty one. The agreement is worded to allow surplus to return to subscribers if the State School Fund covers the teacher's salary and to make up the deficiency if the Fund's allotment is not sufficient. Names subscribed include James Carpenter, James Holmes, L.E. Horne, G. Hubbert, A.S. Hutton, Robert S.C. Hutton, B.L. McCall, and J.C. Porterfield.
